NFC: How It Works

Near Field Communication (NFC) is incredibly popular outside of Australia, in particular Asia and Europe. It is also incredibly simple - possibly the next step up from QR codes, although QR, blootooth, wifi and NFC all have slightly different purposes and practical application.


In simple terms, NFC is literally a type of computerised chip with memory and other writable sectors and a coil which acts as the antena. These NFC chips or tags can be incredibly small and can be incorporated into almost any product you need - including paper, making it perfect for marketing, networking and secure connections
